[ more clever than Skype?
Yes, maybe.
Skype is a damn fine bit of work, and JahJah looks even better. A new genre of product, while education systems run about playing catch up with 1999.
[ the real Winchell Factor ]
Someone attended Columbia University and also studied and practiced acupuncture and hypnosis and became a prolific inventor. Invented an artifical heart in 1963. Donated his early artificial heart to the University of Utah for research. Dr. Robert Jarvik and other researchers at the university went on to build an artificial heart, dubbed the Jarvik-7, which was implanted into patients after 1982. Among his other patents: a disposable razor, a flameless cigarette lighter and an invisible garter belt.
Who was he? what is he famous for?

Books appear to slide off and back onto the bookshelf at random. The books look completely real... because they are.
[ sculptural crochet ]
Rather beautiful work with knitting and crochet. As with many things, the time and effort are probably unjustified, but there are lots of intangibles.
A quick look around the web will find some more controversial knitting and crochet work.
[ things people believe when they are young ]
Some classics here.
[ cliches for every occasion ]
[ coming to you from 2056...]
very clever version of what The Onion will be like in 2056. Is the US ready for a female president? A female DOLPHIN president?
[ all about learning styles and preferences ]
Well, as much as most people need to know.. PLus you can test yourself. Or someone else.
[ new form of matter discovered ]
this seems serious. It's from MIT.
[ n ways of dealing with a dead horse ]
If you need to ask how many, you don't need to know. But this is alternatives to the conventional advice on dead horses, as described by the Pentagon.
[ no comment needed ]

[ can you predict the news? ]
find out with this cute newspaper-based application.
[ Lil' house I used to live in ]
No, not really. but its cool.
I DID live here once
